easy dairy-free cheese ball

Hey hippies,

This is seriously going to blow your mind.

I was on the hunt for a delicious vegan, cheese-like dish that I could share with all my non-vegan friends and family. I came across a simple recipe on Youtube (can’t remember who) and I applied a few of my own add-ins. I have to say, this one’s a winner! I wanted to make an appetizer similar to aport-wine cheese ball, ya know, the one with the almonds?

So yeah… are you ready for this?

You need:

1 package of Kite Hill cream cheese (I used plain but feel free to let your freak flag fly)

Onion powder (to taste)

Garlic powder (to taste)

Salt (to taste)

Chopped green onion (to taste)

Dried cranberries (to taste)

Sliced almonds (enough to coat the ball of cheese, I used a good cup)


Grab a big bowl and empty the entire package of cream cheese.

Mix in the garlic and onion powder using a spatula.

Mix in the  salt.

Add the dried cranberries and green onions.

Mix and shape into a spherical ball shape.

Once it’s in the desired shape, coat the outside with the almonds!

Put in the fridge to let set (at least 10-15 minutes)

I really enjoy serving this cheese ball with water cracker or any vegan cracker that you find delicious.

P.S. I also recommend making this the day you’re going to serve it because it’s super easy to make and you don’t want the cranberries or green onions to get soft!
